Overband

Used in Recycling, quarrying and heavy industries.

Positioned above flat or trough type conveyors to continuously removed tramp iron and other ferrous contamination from bulk items.

Large permanent magnetic packs generate deep penetrating magnetic flux fields.

A rubber belt is driven around two rollers with the magnetic pack positioned in the centre. Ferrous items are attracted by the magnet to the belt's face and carried over and past the magnetic area until the contamination is deposited into a collection bin or skip.

These units can be supplied with either an electric or hydraulic drive unit for mobile machinery and are ideally suited for continuous use, where processing stops infrequently or for heavily contaminated products.
