Alcomax III centre-hole cylindrical magnets with a preferred axis from one flat face to the other (anistropic). Also sometimes known as 'slugs'.

The 'anistropism' of these magnets mean they are more efficient than magnets of the same size and material but of a different configuration.

These magnets are intended for assembly with soft magnetic components (mild steel is suitable) to form complete magnetic systems.

They are extremely versatile. Typical applications include loudspeakers, moving coil instruments, in pot magnets for gripping, conveyor rails / pulleys and jigs for the heat treatment of drills.

To gain the full benefits of these magnets, magnetisation after assembly is essential. They are magnetised, tested and de-magnetised before despatch. We provide a magnetisation service for completed assemblies and are usually able re-despatch within one working day.
