The Eclipse Magnetics Power Matrix Rail is a magnetic clamping system which provides fast, efficient and safe workholding for rail machining.

Clamping is at the touch of the button. Switchable permanent-magnet technology means that once a load is held it stays held, even if there is a power failure.

Flexible PLC control gives the unit a range of clamping options, allowing independently controlled zones to be activated only when required. Two complete rails can be clamped simultaneously, as can multiple smaller workpieces.

High-intensity neodymium magnets give the unit a pull of 150 ton / m². Rails are clamped at the base and side for maximum security. Magnetic clamping reduces chatter and does not generate heat meaning tools last longer and machining accuracy is improved.
