Magnetic Chucks

Permanent-magnet magnetic chucks, electro-permanent magnetic chucks and chuck accesories: safe and efficient holding of workpieces for grinding, milling and cutting.

Eclipse Magnetics produced the first ever switchable permanent-magnet chuck in 1934. Today our magnetic chucks are renowned worlwide for their quality.

Our chucks use permanent magnets which means that no power is required to hold the load and the chucks are failsafe – if the power fails, the load stays held. Permanent magnet chucks have no day-to-day running costs.

Electro-permanent magnetic chucks only require power for switching so running costs are very low. They provide very high power for clamping larger workpieces.

Power Matrix Modular

Power Matrix Modular

NEW Cost-effective and very flexible modular magnetic clamping system. More efficient than manual clamping, more cost-effective than large magnetic single piece magnetic chucks.

Power Matrix Rail

Power Matrix Rail

Push-button permanent-magnet clamping for machining of rails, points, switching systems. Significantly reduces set up time. Improves machining rates and accuracy.

Premier magnetic chuck

Premier magnetic chuck

High quality workholding for accurate grinding, cutting, milling and lapping.

Chuck blocks

Chuck blocks
For extending the magnetic flux of chucks to enable 'awkward' shaped workpieces to be held securely.

Magnetic V block

Magnetic V block
Holds cylindrical and complex workpieces for marking, spark erosion, grinding and measurement. Both 'v' and base are magnetic and are energised / de-energised at the same time by the toggle switch.

Electro permanent chuck

Electro permanent chuck

Electro permanent range offers high performance milling, grinding, turning and special application chucks to suit your needs.

These chucks are designed to maximise your production and minimise your setting, fixturing, non-productive, time and cost.

Sine tables

Sine tables
Highest quality sine tables for precision grinding and spark erosion. Neodymium (rare earth) magnet system provides strong clamping force.
